Kochi, July 4:
Chennai-based Cholayil Pvt Ltd, the makers of Kerala’s oldest brand Cuticura, has announced the acquisition of Krishna Thulasi, the herbal personal care brand.
Mr V.S. Pradeep, Managing Director, Cholayil Pvt Ltd, said at a press conference here on Monday that the company looks forward to strengthen its reach in South India with this acquisition by adding the Kollam-based Krishna Thulasi herbal soap and other products comprising face beauty gel and shampoo to the company’s portfolio.
However, he declined to reveal the value of the acquisition saying that it is an internal matter. This brand, being in the herbal soap category, would be a strategic best fit in synergy with the business segment the company presently occupies, he said, adding that the acquisition will help the company’s entry to shampoos and face care.
